Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE Updates

Parliament Monsoon Session LIVE Updates: The third day of the ongoing Monsoon Session commenced at 11 am today. Opposition parties are anticipated to intensify their calls for a debate regarding the Pahalgam terror incident and the revision of voter rolls in Bihar. On Tuesday, persistent protests from Opposition MPs over these matters caused both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha to be suspended for the second day in a row.

During the Lok Sabha session, Opposition leaders gathered in the Well of the House at 11 am, brandishing placards and shouting slogans demanding the cancellation of the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls in Bihar. Agriculture Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan urged that the Question Hour be allowed to proceed, but the protests persisted, leading Speaker Om Birla to adjourn the House until noon. Each time the House reconvened, similar disruptions resulted in further adjournments.

The Rajya Sabha experienced comparable disturbances, with ongoing uproar regarding the same topics. The Upper House was eventually adjourned for the day shortly after it reconvened post-lunch at 2 pm, without conducting any business.
