Parliament Monsoon Session 2025 LIVE Updates: On the tenth day of the Monsoon Session, Congress MP Manickam Tagore initiated an adjournment motion in the Lok Sabha to address the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Bihar, which is pertinent to the upcoming Assembly elections. Tagore emphasized the need for an urgent discussion on the SIR, labeling it as a "mass disenfranchisement of 65 lakh voters in Bihar—an intentional attack on the Constitution and democracy orchestrated by the Modi government through the Election Commission."


In a show of solidarity, members of the opposition INDIA bloc staged a protest outside Makkar Dwar in Parliament on Friday, collectively demanding discussions in both Houses regarding the SIR in Bihar.


During a meeting held on Thursday, the INDIA bloc parties firmly resolved to intensify their protests against the ongoing SIR in Bihar, both within Parliament and in public spaces. This protest follows the Election Commission's release of the draft electoral rolls for Bihar on Friday.
