Faridabad - Shri Paresh Ranpara has officially assumed the role of Director (Personnel) at NHPC Limited, a notable Navratna company under the Ministry of Power, Government of India.
Prior to his new position at NHPC, Shri Ranpara was the Director (Human Resources) at Grid-India, where he played a crucial role in leading HR strategies, talent development, and enhancing organizational capabilities.
With an impressive background spanning over 31 years in the power sector across both public and private domains, Shri Ranpara is well-regarded as an experienced HR expert. He earned his Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (BBA) from Sardar Patel University. Additionally, he is a certified assessor from XLRI, Jamshedpur.
During his tenure at Grid-India, he focused on learning and development, improved capacity-building frameworks, and successfully executed succession planning initiatives aligned with competency models. He also sought international consulting ventures in HR and organizational growth.
Previously, as the Head of HR at Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (GUVNL), Shri Ranpara was instrumental in restructuring the former Gujarat Electricity Board (GEB), managing change processes, and enhancing communication strategies. He made significant contributions to the development and execution of performance management systems across GUVNL entities and led key HR initiatives in workforce optimization, manpower planning, and leadership succession at Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL).
Throughout his professional journey, he has fostered a culture of innovation and continuous learning, preparing the workforce with the necessary skills to adapt to the changing landscape of the power sector, particularly in renewable energy integration.
In his capacity as Director (Personnel) at NHPC, Shri Ranpara will steer the company's HR functions, focusing on manpower planning, talent management, organizational development, industrial relations, employee engagement, and learning & development. His vast experience and leadership are anticipated to enhance NHPC’s human resource capabilities and support the company's ongoing growth and excellence.
