Giant Python Causes Alarm in Bagaha


The mere mention of a python sends chills down people's spines. Imagine the chaos if one were to suddenly appear in front of a crowd. Such a scenario unfolded in Bagaha, located in West Champaran, Bihar, where the discovery of a python in a residential area led to widespread panic. The massive snake, reportedly around 20 feet long, was found behind a house, creating an atmosphere of fear among the locals. Fortunately, some residents managed to capture the python with great care and subsequently handed it over to the forest department. Since the incident, the villagers have been living in fear.


The python was discovered behind the home of a young man named Sanjay Kumar in Ward 28 of the police jurisdiction. Over the past few months, several chickens and goats had mysteriously disappeared from the area, believed to have fallen prey to the python. Thankfully, no humans were harmed during this incident, and the capture of the python has brought a sense of relief to the community.


The python had made its home behind a residence in a populated area of Bagaha, where it had been preying on local poultry and livestock. Sanjay Kumar noted that numerous animals had vanished over the last six months, but the presence of such a large python had never crossed their minds. According to local councilor Ajay Nath, there was initial fear regarding the python, but after some time, brave individuals stepped up and managed to secure the snake. Ranger Manoj Kumar explained that pythons can be swept into various areas due to floodwaters.
