Recent Developments in Solapur

Just days ago, another case emerged in Solapur district where a self-proclaimed spiritual guru, Manohar Bhosale, was arrested for promising to change futures and ensure business profits. Before this case could settle, a new incident involving financial fraud and black magic surfaced in the same district. A complaint was lodged at the Tembhurni police station against Nanna Virkar, a resident of Adegaon in the Mardha taluka, for deceiving devotees.

Details of the Fraud

Reports indicate that Nanna Virkar ensnared numerous individuals in his fraudulent scheme. Yashwant Jadhav and Nilesh Bhoite from Pandharpur filed a complaint stating that Virkar lured them with promises of 'money rain' and sold them a turtle for three lakh rupees. Furthermore, he claimed to provide various magical remedies and religious solutions to attract wealth.

Openly Conducting His Illegal Activities

According to the complainants, the accused showed no fear in his actions. He boasted that a certain Tejaswini Satpute was his devotee and that he had connections with several politicians, including MLAs and MPs. He even threatened that no one could harm him, indicating that he operated his illicit business with impunity, leveraging the names of senior police officials and political figures.

Police Action and Arrest

Upon receiving the complaint, Tembhurni police swiftly conducted a raid at the ashram early in the morning. At the time, Nanna Virkar was found asleep with his brother. Both were taken into custody, and charges have been filed against them under the Maharashtra Anti-Superstition and Black Magic Act, as well as for financial fraud.
