Pakistan's Threats Extend to Kolkata Amid Rising Tensions
Pakistan's Warnings Include Kolkata
The list of threats issued by Pakistan towards India has now expanded to include Kolkata. As has been the case in the past, these threats are made without any substantial evidence, relying solely on grand claims. On Saturday, Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned that any future conflict would not be confined to the borders but could reach deep into Indian territory, specifically naming Kolkata as a potential target.
Unsubstantiated Claims of a 'False Flag Operation'
During a press conference in Sialkot, Khawaja Asif stated, 'If India attempts a false flag operation this time, we will, God willing, take our response to Kolkata.' He made baseless allegations of a conspiracy where India might use its own citizens or detained Pakistanis to stage an incident and blame it on terrorism.
Threats of Direct Attacks
Asif intensified his threats, asserting that the next round of confrontation would be far more severe than previous encounters. He warned, 'If they try again, they will face even greater humiliation. This time, the conflict will not be limited to 200-250 kilometers. We will enter their territory and attack them within their own homes.'
These remarks from the Pakistani defense minister reflect a longstanding mindset within their power structure, which has often discussed expanding the scope of war eastward, despite their apparent inability to do so in reality.
India's Firm Response
Pakistan's aggressive rhetoric follows a stern message from Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, who emphasized that any act of aggression would be met with decisive action. Speaking at an event in Kerala, Singh referenced the military response following the terrorist attack in Pahalgam in April 2025, stating, 'I want to inform you that that operation is not over. If Pakistan engages in such heinous acts again, our military will respond in a manner they will never forget.'
Social Media Reaction
Pakistani Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has issued another threat, specifically mentioning Kolkata.
He claims:
