Drone Incursion in Poonch District
In the Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, a Pakistani drone breached the Line of Control (LoC) and entered Indian airspace, reportedly dropping suspicious explosive materials, ammunition, and narcotics. Following this incident, security forces initiated a large-scale search operation. According to official sources, the drone infiltrated the Indian territory in the Khadi Karamada area and remained there for over five minutes before returning across the LoC.
Security Concerns Arise
During the incursion, the drone released a payload that included an improvised explosive device (IED), ammunition, and drugs, raising significant security concerns in this sensitive border district. Upon detecting the drone's activity, the Indian Army and Jammu and Kashmir Police launched extensive cordon and search operations in Khadi Karamada and surrounding areas to locate and secure the dropped materials, as well as to eliminate any potential terrorist activities on the ground.
