Owaisi Accuses Government of Targeting Muslims with Planned Agenda

In a recent press conference, Asaduddin Owaisi, the AIMIM leader, accused the government of targeting Muslims through a planned agenda, linking Special Intensive Revision to the NRC and NPR. He raised concerns about the implications of legal accusations against individuals, including the controversial Nida Khan case. Owaisi emphasized that these issues affect all societal segments, not just Muslims, and vowed to bring the matter to court. His remarks highlight the ongoing tensions surrounding religious and legal matters in India, prompting discussions on the implications of such policies.

Owaisi's Allegations Against Government Policies

Asaduddin Owaisi, the leader of AIMIM and a Member of Parliament, claimed on Saturday that Muslims are being targeted under a systematic agenda. He asserted that issues like Special Intensive Revision (SIR) are being linked to the National Register of Citizens (NRC) and the National Population Register (NPR). Speaking at a press conference in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Owaisi stated that the Supreme Court has mandated mapping, and if this is not conducted, it will be done using the names of parents.

Owaisi emphasized that Muslims are being ensnared in a deliberate conspiracy driven by hatred. He mentioned that the entire matter will be presented in court, and charges could be brought against anyone involved. Addressing AIMIM voters, he highlighted that this issue extends beyond just Muslims, affecting all sections of society. He reiterated that SIR is being connected to NRC and NPR, which will be managed by the Ministry of Home Affairs. The Supreme Court has indicated that mapping is essential, and if not done, it will rely on parental names.

Referring to the Nida Khan case, Owaisi pointed out that Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) clarified that Nida Khan was not an HR employee. He accused the ruling party of conducting a media trial, stating that her name was made public even before an FIR was filed. Owaisi reiterated that TCS confirmed Nida Khan's non-employee status and criticized the media's role in the situation.

Owaisi raised questions regarding the recovery of a burqa from a woman's home mentioned in the FIR, asking if wearing a burqa has become illegal. He also questioned the implications of possessing books related to Prophet Muhammad or Urdu poetry. The AIMIM leader stated that the case will be taken to court, alleging that these accusations are rooted in hatred.
