Significant Deportations of Indian Nationals
New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) reported on Friday that 1,076 Indian citizens have been sent back from the United States this year. This highlights the ongoing commitment of both nations to combat illegal immigration.
According to MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, the total number of Indians deported in 2025 was 3,567.
"So far this year, 1,076 Indian nationals have been deported from the US to India. In 2025, the total deportations reached 3,567," he stated.
The Trump administration has intensified efforts to address illegal immigration as part of a broader crackdown.
Jaiswal emphasized that both countries are maintaining close communication regarding deportation, migration, and mobility issues.
"Ongoing discussions focus on how to effectively tackle illegal migration while ensuring that legal migration remains unaffected," he added.
