Operation Milap: 84 Missing Individuals Reunited with Families in Delhi

In a remarkable effort, the South West District Police in Delhi successfully traced and reunited 84 missing individuals, including 30 children, with their families in November. This initiative, known as 'Operation Milap', has brought the total number of rescues this year to 1,201. The police employed various methods, including local inquiries and CCTV footage analysis, to locate the missing persons. Each recovered individual was safely returned home, highlighting the police's commitment to community service and public safety. This operation has provided hope and relief to many families, demonstrating the effectiveness of swift and compassionate action in addressing such critical issues.
 

Successful Recovery of Missing Persons


New Delhi, Dec 2: In a significant achievement, the South West District Police in the national capital successfully traced and reunited 84 individuals, including 30 children, with their families during November as part of 'Operation Milap', officials reported on Tuesday.


This operation has contributed to a total of 1,201 individuals rescued this year, which includes 399 children and 802 adults.


According to police statements, immediate search operations were launched upon receiving reports of missing persons. Local inquiries were crucial, along with reviewing CCTV footage and distributing images of the missing individuals and potential suspects at various transport hubs.


Efforts included consultations with bus drivers, conductors, and vendors to trace the movements of the missing individuals. Additionally, local informants were engaged, and records from nearby police stations and hospitals were meticulously examined.


During this operation, the staff at Police Station (PS) Kapashera successfully traced nine missing children, comprising one boy and eight girls aged between 10 and 18 years, along with 14 missing adults, including eight men and six women.


Meanwhile, the team from PS Palam Village located four missing children (two boys and two girls) and five missing adults (two males and three females).


At PS Vasant Kunj North, two missing girls aged 10 to 18 years were found, along with two adults (one male and one female) who were also reunited with their families.


PS Sagarpur reported tracing eight missing individuals, consisting of three men and five women.


PS Kishangarh located two missing girls aged between 10 and 18 years, in addition to seven missing adults (four men and three women).


PS Vasant Kunj South successfully traced three children (two boys and one girl) aged 10 to 18 years, along with five adults (three males and two females).


PS R.K. Puram found one missing minor girl and one male, both of whom were reunited with their families.


PS Vasant Vihar traced four missing children (two boys and two girls) aged between 10 and 18 years, along with two adults (one male and one female).


PS Sarojini Nagar located one missing minor girl and one male.


PS S.J. Enclave reported finding two missing girls aged between 10 and 18 years and five adults (three men and two women).


One missing male was traced by PS South Campus and successfully reunited with his family.


PS Delhi Cantt located two missing girls aged 10 to 18 years and three adults (one male and two females).


All individuals recovered during this operation were successfully reunited with their families.


"Through 'Operation Milap', the South-West District Police have demonstrated their dedication to public service by ensuring the safe return of 84 missing individuals to their homes. Their compassionate approach, combined with thorough investigations and prompt action, has brought hope and relief to many distressed families," officials stated.
