Abdullah's remarks came in response to a post by PM Modi, who praised Abdullah's participation in a tourism event in Ahmedabad, highlighting his visit to the Sabarmati Riverfront and the Statue of Unity. Modi remarked, "Kashmir to Kevadia! It was delightful to see Omar Abdullah enjoying his run at the Sabarmati Riverfront and visiting the Statue of Unity. His visit conveys an important message of unity and will inspire our fellow Indians to explore different parts of India." This message was a reply to Abdullah's description of his morning run at the scenic Sabarmati Riverfront.
During his stay in Ahmedabad for the tourism event, Abdullah took the opportunity to run along the beautiful Sabarmati Riverfront, sharing the experience with many other runners and walkers. He also passed by the impressive Atal Footbridge.
