Om Prakash Rajbhar Critiques Samajwadi Party Over Dalit Atrocities in Uttar Pradesh

In a recent statement, Om Prakash Rajbhar, the leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party, has sharply criticized the Samajwadi Party, alleging that its supporters are primarily responsible for the violence against Dalits in Uttar Pradesh. He redefined the party's slogan 'PDA' to highlight the ongoing atrocities and provided alarming statistics to back his claims. Rajbhar's remarks challenge the narrative of the SP and call for accountability regarding the treatment of Dalits in the state. His statements have sparked significant discussion about the political dynamics and social issues affecting marginalized communities in Uttar Pradesh.

Rajbhar's Accusations Against SP

Om Prakash Rajbhar, the leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and a minister in Uttar Pradesh, criticized the Samajwadi Party (SP) on Thursday. He claimed that supporters of the SP are primarily responsible for the atrocities committed against Dalits across the state. Rajbhar mocked the SP's slogan 'PDA' (Pichhda, Dalit, Alpasankhyak) and suggested it symbolizes violence against Dalits perpetrated by certain communities.

Rajbhar's Revelations on Atrocities

Rajbhar questioned whether people thought he had forgotten about the issues at hand. He redefined PDA as 'Peet dega Ahir' and 'Peet dega Alpasankhyak', asserting that the SP would not release a second installment of these atrocities. He emphasized that the SP's supporters, particularly the Yadavs and Muslims, are heavily involved in the reported cases of violence against Dalits, which he plans to publicize by police zones and commissions. He urged people to read the UP police reports, highlighting that the majority of cases involve SP supporters.

Statistics on Dalit Atrocities

Rajbhar provided alarming statistics, stating that in the Gorakhpur zone alone, there were 760 registered cases, with 297 Yadavs and 344 Muslims implicated. He noted that Banaras had the highest number of cases, with 603 incidents involving 650 Yadavs and 178 Muslims. Similarly, in the Agra zone, 287 cases were reported, with 85 Yadavs and 93 Muslims named. In Kanpur, 334 cases involved 166 Yadavs and 57 Muslims, who were found threatening, abusing, and attacking Dalits.

Further Challenges and Data

Rajbhar challenged his opponents to examine the Prayagraj zone, where 423 cases involved 156 Yadavs and 126 Muslims accused of violence against Dalits. He pointed out that in Bareilly, Meerut, and Lucknow, the situation was similarly dire, with significant numbers of Yadavs and Muslims involved in reported atrocities. For instance, in Bareilly, 430 cases included 100 Yadavs and 222 Muslims, while Meerut had 288 cases with 24 Yadavs and 319 Muslims.

Urban Areas and Ongoing Issues

Rajbhar urged his audience to review the statistics from urban police commissions, revealing that in Agra, 59 cases involved 18 Yadavs and 8 Muslims. In Kanpur, 65 cases included 39 Yadavs and 24 Muslims, while Ghaziabad had 45 cases with 6 Yadavs and 29 Muslims. He highlighted that these individuals have committed severe acts of cruelty against Dalits, including murder and assault.

Conclusion and Reflection

He concluded by stating that these offenders are not escaping justice, as the UP police are actively addressing these issues. Rajbhar expressed concern that the behavior of certain groups towards non-Yadav backward communities and Dalits is unlikely to change, as the mindset of oppression is deeply ingrained.
