Om Prakash Rajbhar Criticizes Ram Gopal Yadav Amid Political Tensions in UP

In a recent political clash, Om Prakash Rajbhar of the SBSP has accused Ram Gopal Yadav of caste discrimination, claiming that the Samajwadi Party is on the brink of a split. As tensions rise ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, Rajbhar's statements have sparked significant controversy, with the opposition party denying the allegations and accusing him of spreading misinformation. This unfolding drama highlights the growing dissent within the Samajwadi Party and raises questions about its future leadership.

Political Tensions Rise in Uttar Pradesh

On Friday, Om Prakash Rajbhar, the minister and leader of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), launched a strong critique against Ram Gopal Yadav, a prominent figure in the Samajwadi Party. Rajbhar accused Yadav of viewing the Rajbhar and Maurya communities as inferior. He reiterated his belief that the Samajwadi Party is on the verge of disintegration, suggesting that the remnants of the party will ultimately be managed by the 'real uncle'.

Allegations and Political Fallout

These remarks come at a time when political rhetoric is intensifying ahead of the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, particularly regarding recent claims of significant dissent within the Samajwadi Party. The opposition party has vehemently denied these allegations, accusing Rajbhar of spreading misinformation at the behest of the BJP-led NDA. In a post on X, Rajbhar claimed that Yadav has consistently looked down upon leaders from non-Yadav backward castes.

Rajbhar's Strong Statements

Rajbhar stated that the entire Bahujan community has witnessed the arrogant remarks made by Ram Gopal Yadav towards Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya and himself. He asserted that Yadav has always considered Rajbhar and Maurya to be lesser than the Yadavs, even going so far as to keep separate utensils for them in his home. He predicted that internal strife would eventually lead to a split within the Samajwadi Party, stating, "The party will fracture... the remaining party will be led by the real uncle, as he can revive it. The other arrogant uncle will be reduced from a professor to a primary school teacher, and Akhilesh's 'Shiv' uncle will make this a reality."

Criticism of Party Decisions

Rajbhar also criticized the party for not inviting MP Veera to the recent PDA (Backward, Dalit, Minority) conference. His comments come as he reiterated his prediction of an impending split within the Samajwadi Party. On Thursday, he claimed that a rebellion among dissenting MPs was merely a matter of time, noting that discontent within the party escalated after a recent meeting where Brahmins were allegedly insulted.

Reactions from Samajwadi Party Leaders

Previously, Rajbhar had alleged that a 'major political change' was underway within the Samajwadi Party, claiming that several MPs were dissatisfied with the party leadership. In response, senior SP leader Shivpal Singh Yadav sharply criticized Rajbhar's claims, labeling them as a BJP conspiracy. Shivpal stated that BJP members often spread falsehoods and engage in conspiracies, asserting that no MP from the Samajwadi Party would leave. He suggested that such statements are made to boost their TRP and increase seat counts in elections.
