Latest Update on the Special OTET

Bhubaneswar: The Special Odisha Teachers Eligibility Test (OTET), originally set for August 31, has been postponed once more due to unforeseen circumstances, as announced by officials on Thursday.

According to a notification from the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), which oversees the exam, "We inform all concerned that the Special OTET-2025 (Paper-I & Paper-II) scheduled for August 31, 2025, has been deferred due to unavoidable circumstances and will be rescheduled soon."

Previously, the written exam for the special OTET-2025 was planned for July 20.

However, the examination faced delays after a handwritten question paper, which mirrored the actual question sets created by BSE, circulated widely on Facebook and other social media platforms on July 19.

The CID-Crime Branch of Odisha Police is currently investigating the matter and has apprehended eight individuals, including the vice-president of BSE, for their suspected involvement.
