Odisha's Higher Secondary Admissions: Over 25,000 Students Secure Seats in Phase-I Results

Phase-I SPOT Admission Results Announced

Bhubaneswar: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education has announced the Phase-I SPOT admission results for the academic year 2026-27, revealing that 25,332 students have successfully secured placements in higher secondary schools throughout Odisha.

The department noted that this round also included 3,786 new applicants who had not received seats in previous admission phases.

Among those admitted, the Arts stream saw the most enrollments, totaling 14,180, while the Science stream had 7,226, Commerce attracted 2,601, Vocational courses enrolled 1,068, and Sanskrit had 257 students.

Officials reported that a total of 48,536 candidates were evaluated during the Phase-I SPOT selection process. Out of these, 25,332 were granted seats, leaving 23,204 candidates without placements. After the first, second, and SPOT admission rounds, 20,450 applicants remain on the waiting list.

Additionally, the department indicated that 7,338 students were assigned to their first-choice colleges and preferred streams.

Selected candidates are required to visit the SAMS portal to finalize their admission, including document verification, within the designated timeframe. Details regarding the next phase of the e-admission process will be shared separately.
