Odisha's Higher Education Minister Announces Plus 3 Classes Start Date
Commencement of Plus 3 Classes in Odisha
Bhubaneswar: On Wednesday, Suryabanshi Suraj, the Higher Education Minister of Odisha, announced that the Plus 3 classes in the state are set to commence on July 15 this year.
During a press briefing in Bhubaneswar, the minister revealed that the third phase of Plus 3 admissions will remain open until the results of the second phase (Plus 2) are released.
He mentioned that candidates will have a window of 10 days from the announcement of results to upload their mark sheets onto the SAMS portal, with an additional 10-day grace period.
The minister reassured that measures have been implemented to avoid the delays experienced last year, which caused many students to miss their first semester due to extended admission processes. To facilitate a more efficient procedure this year, the department has initiated early preparations for college seat allocation in June, aiming to finalize all processes before classes start in mid-July.
The Council of Higher Secondary Education is expected to announce the Plus 2 examination results today at 4 PM, with results accessible for all academic streams, including arts, commerce, science, and vocational education.
