Odisha Police Enhances Digital Investigation Skills with Major Workshop

In a significant move to modernize law enforcement, over 700 police officers from Odisha participated in a workshop focused on digital investigation techniques. Organized by the State Crime Records Bureau, the training aimed to enhance skills in evidence management and case documentation. The initiative reflects the Odisha Police's commitment to leveraging technology for more effective investigations and improved public service. Workshop on Digital Investigation Skills


Balasore: A significant workshop focused on digital investigation techniques was held on Wednesday, attended by more than 700 police officers from various districts.


Organized by the State Crime Records Bureau (SCRB), the event targeted Investigating Officers (IOs) from Balasore, Bhadrak, and Mayurbhanj, covering topics such as e-investigation, e-sakshya, and e-sign, according to Satyajit Naik, the DIG of the Eastern Range.


The primary goal of this training was to provide IOs with advanced skills in digital investigations, evidence management, and thorough case documentation. The DIG emphasized that by utilizing modern technology, the police force aims to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of their investigations, ultimately facilitating justice.


This initiative showcases the Odisha Police's dedication to embracing innovative practices and keeping up with the latest advancements in law enforcement.


The Eastern Range Police are expected to gain significantly from this capacity-building initiative, which is anticipated to positively influence crime investigations and enhance public service in the area.
