Odisha Gymnasts Set to Compete in Commonwealth Games 2026
Odisha Athletes Selected for Commonwealth Games
Three gymnasts from the Odisha AM/NS India Gymnastics High Performance Centre (Odisha AM/NS GHPC) are poised to represent India at the Commonwealth Games 2026, scheduled to take place in Glasgow, Scotland, from July 23 to August 2. Among the eight athletes selected for the artistic gymnastics category, Tapan Mohanty, Tapeswaranath Das, and Olympian Pranati Nayak are proudly representing the Odisha AM/NS GHPC.
Tapan Mohanty and Tapeswaranath Das will compete as part of the Men's Artistic Gymnastics (MAG) team, while Olympian Pranati Nayak will join the Women's Artistic Gymnastics (WAG) team.
Recognition from AM/NS India
Ashutosh Telang, the Director and Vice President of HR & Administration at AM/NS India, expressed pride in the selection of these athletes for the Commonwealth Games. He emphasized that this achievement showcases the exceptional training and comprehensive development provided at the Odisha AM/NS GHPC.
"The inclusion of Tapan Mohanty, Tapeswaranath Das, and Olympian Pranati Nayak in the Commonwealth Games is a significant milestone for us. Their ongoing success highlights the Centre's commitment to fostering talent and preparing athletes for global competitions.
