Key Discussions on Odisha's Development

Bhubaneswar: On Sunday, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi shared insights about his productive meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi, aimed at expediting development initiatives in the state.

Upon his return to Bhubaneswar, Majhi informed reporters that his trip to the capital was also to pay respects to the late father of Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, who passed away on July 8 at AIIMS Jodhpur.

The Chief Minister revealed that he engaged in a comprehensive 35-minute dialogue with PM Modi on Saturday, focusing on the implementation of significant projects intended for Odisha's advancement.

Majhi expressed optimism about the discussions, stating, "The conversation was constructive and centered on strategies to enhance Odisha's development relative to other states in the near future."

He emphasized that actionable plans will be formulated to meet the objectives outlined in the vision document, which aims for a prosperous Odisha by 2036 and a developed India by 2047.

Majhi further noted that crucial topics were addressed regarding various developmental initiatives in Odisha, future strategies, and the collaboration between the Centre and the state to boost overall progress. Both the Centre and the state are dedicated to achieving the vision of a prosperous Odisha and a developed India, he mentioned in a post on X after the meeting.

During his visit, Majhi also had the opportunity to meet with President Droupadi Murmu, where he presented the vision document booklet, and he engaged with Defence Minister Rajnath Singh and BJP's general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh.
