Growing Anger Among Nursing Staff at SMS Hospital

The nursing staff at the Sawai Man Singh (SMS) Hospital in Jaipur is increasingly frustrated following a devastating fire incident that occurred in the trauma center last October. The investigation revealed negligence among the staff, leading to the suspension of four nursing personnel, including a nursing supervisor, which has sparked strong opposition from their colleagues.

During a two-hour gate meeting held today at the trauma center, nursing staff engaged in thorough discussions. They unanimously decided to initiate a two-hour work stoppage starting tomorrow, which will affect not only the main building of SMS Hospital but also other affiliated hospitals in Jaipur. The nursing staff plans to express their democratic dissent during this period.

The nursing personnel argue that the suspension of their four colleagues is entirely unjust and unilateral. They are demanding the immediate reversal of the suspensions and a fair investigation into the matter. They have vowed to continue their protests until their demands are met.

The nursing staff now views this as an injustice and is intensifying their protests.
