NURPUR:
In a proud moment for Nurpur and the entire Kangra district in Himachal Pradesh, Anvit Thakur, a seventh-grade student at Nurpur Public School, has successfully gained admission to the esteemed Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) in Dehradun, thanks to his dedication and hard work.
Anvit accomplished this significant feat by excelling in the All India Entrance Examination for Class VIII, which took place in June 2025. RIMC, operating under the Ministry of Defence, is a leading residential institution known for preparing cadets for the National Defence Academy (NDA) and the armed forces, shaping them into future military leaders.

After his success, Anvit expressed his gratitude, acknowledging the unwavering support from his teachers at Nurpur Public School and his parents. He credited their encouragement and motivation for inspiring him to stay focused and work diligently towards this challenging goal. His achievement has led to celebrations and pride among his family and the school community.
School director Arvind Dogra and principal Anmol Dogra congratulated Anvit on his exceptional accomplishment, extending their best wishes for his future endeavors.
