Nurpur Police Launches Major Operation Against Illegal Liquor Trade

In a decisive move against the illegal drug and liquor trade, the Nurpur Police executed a successful raid in the Damtal police station jurisdiction. Acting on confidential information, a coordinated team led by the SDPO of Indora, which included members from the Quick Response Team (QRT), Criminal Investigation Agency (CIA), and Damtal Police, conducted an unannounced operation in the area.


During this operation, authorities seized approximately 20,000 liters of lahan, a fermented substance utilized in the production of illicit liquor, which was promptly destroyed on-site. Officials highlighted that the illegal liquor trade not only breaches legal statutes but also poses significant risks to public health and societal safety.


The police have assured that they will maintain stringent measures against individuals engaged in the production of illegal liquor. They have urged the community to report any suspicious activities related to drugs, liquor, or other illegal actions to the authorities.
