The Nurpur Police have intensified their efforts against illegal mining activities, successfully confiscating six tractors under the Mining Act during operations conducted on the nights of January 10 and January 11, 2026.


This operation spanned several police jurisdictions, including Police Post Sadwan, Police Post Kandwal (Nurpur Police Station), Police Post Kotla, and Jawali Police Station.


Legal Proceedings Underway


The tractors that were seized have been officially charged under the Mining Act, and cases against the suspects are being submitted to the Hon’ble Court for further legal action.
