In a proactive measure to combat illegal mining, the Nurpur Police executed a focused checking operation over the last 24 hours. This initiative resulted in legal actions against nine vehicles that were found in breach of the Mining Act.

Details of the Enforcement:

Damtal Police Station: Seized 03 multi-axle trucks and 01 tractor.

Nurpur Police Station: Challaned 04 tractors for various violations.

Rehan Police Station: Booked 01 tractor under the Mining Act.

Legal Actions Taken: All confiscated multi-axle trucks have been impounded and are now awaiting court proceedings. Additionally, necessary legal steps have been initiated against the tractors involved.

The Nurpur Police are dedicated to eradicating illegal mining and have pledged to continue such operations in the future. They encourage the community to report any suspicious mining activities to the authorities.
