In a continued effort to combat drug-related crimes, the Nurpur Police have made a significant breakthrough. A woman was apprehended during a police raid, where heroin (chitta) was seized from her possession.
Incident Overview: Today, while on routine patrol, officers received intelligence regarding a woman allegedly involved in the illegal sale of narcotics from her home. Acting promptly, the police team, along with witnesses, conducted a raid at the specified location.
Details of the Arrest: Upon searching the premises, authorities discovered 12.46 grams of heroin in the possession of Paramjit alias Cheikho (41 years old, wife of Resham Singh), a resident of Village & Post Office Channi, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra. She was arrested at the scene.
Legal Proceedings: The suspect has been taken into custody, and a case has been filed under Section 21 of the NDPS Act at the Damtal Police Station. Investigations are ongoing.
