In a continued effort to combat narcotics and the illegal liquor trade, the Nurpur Police District has launched a significant operation in Jawali.
Details of the Operation
On August 9, 2026, at approximately 6:10 PM, officers from the Jawali Police Station executed a search warrant at the home of Payal alias Shalu (wife of Shankar), aged 38, located in the village of Bhagal, Tehsil Jawali, following credible information.
During this operation, authorities seized 20 litres of unlicensed, homemade liquor. The individual could not provide any legal documentation for the liquor's possession.
An FIR has been filed at the Jawali Police Station under Section 39(1)(A) of the Himachal Pradesh Excise Act. Ongoing investigations and legal actions are in progress.
