Police Action Against Illegal Mining in Mand Indora

In a prompt response to illegal mining activities, the Nurpur Police have filed a First Information Report (FIR) against five individuals in Mand Indora (Ward No. 11) for breaching the government's ban on mining during the monsoon season.

The FIR, numbered 119/2026, was registered on July 24, 2026, under Sections 303(2) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Section 21 of the Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act of 1957. The suspects were reportedly involved in illegal mining operations utilizing loaders and tractor-trolleys.

Narender Singh, also known as Buddu (Loader owner)

Nasar — all residents of Mand Indora.
