Nurpur Police Crack Down on Drug Trafficking with Recent Arrests

In a decisive action against drug trafficking, Nurpur Police have arrested three suspects found with 7 grams of heroin. In a significant move against drug trafficking, authorities in Nurpur have apprehended three individuals found in possession of 7 grams of heroin/chitta within the jurisdiction of Police Station Rehan.


An FIR has been lodged under FIR No. 24/2026 dated 08.03.2026, invoking Sections 21, 25, and 29 of the ND&PS Act at Police Station Rehan.


On the evening of 07.03.2026 at approximately 10:30 PM, a team from the CIA unit of Nurpur Police was conducting routine patrols and checkpoint inspections near Sunshine Hotel, Rehan, on Chhatar Link Road. During this operation, a white Omni van (HP90-0386) was stopped and searched as per standard procedures.


Upon examination, 7 grams of heroin/chitta was discovered in a ladies’ purse located in the vehicle's dashboard.


The following individuals have been arrested in connection with this case:



  1. Deepak Singh, son of Joginder Singh, residing in Ward No. 1, VPO Dahab, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.

  2. Rajesh Singh, son of Karan Singh, residing in Ward No. 5, VPO Rehan, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.

  3. Shubham, son of Sanjay Kumar, residing in Ward No. 2, VPO Rehan, Tehsil Fatehpur, District Kangra.


The suspects are currently in custody, and investigations are ongoing.
