Nurpur Police Crack Down on Drug Trafficking, Arrest Two with Heroin
Police Operation Leads to Drug Arrests in Nurpur

In a continued effort to combat drug trafficking, authorities in Nurpur apprehended two individuals and seized 17.46 grams of heroin during a checkpoint operation on the Kathgarh–Indora road near Bain Indorian.
Following a tip-off, the police established a checkpoint and halted a black Pulsar motorcycle (registration number HP 97 A 8273). With independent witnesses present, a search was conducted, resulting in the discovery of heroin in the possession of the motorcycle's riders. Both the motorcycle and the illegal substance were confiscated.
The arrested individuals have been identified as:
- Sahil Kumar alias Labbi (25), son of Ashok Kumar, residing in Ward No. 3, VPO Indora, within the Police District of Nurpur.
- Nitin Kumar alias Nannu (26), son of Balvinder, also from Ward No. 3, VPO Indora, in the same Police District.
A case has been filed at the Indora Police Station under FIR No. 102/2026, invoking Sections 21, 25, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Both suspects are in custody, and legal proceedings are currently in progress.
The Nurpur Police have launched a comprehensive investigation to uncover the broader network and any additional connections related to this case.
