Northeast Frontier Railway Adjusts Train Services Amid Restoration Work
Train Service Modifications Due to Ongoing Repairs

HAFLONG, Aug 14: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced significant adjustments to its train services due to ongoing restoration efforts near New Harangajao Station in the Lumding-Badarpur hill area, where the railway tracks on Lines 1 and 2 have experienced settlement issues.
Currently, train operations in the affected area are being conducted via Line 3, which is equipped with enhanced safety protocols while restoration work is in progress.
NFR has confirmed the cancellation of Train no. 15615 Guwahati-Silchar Express, which was set to depart on August 14, along with Train no. 15616 Silchar-Guwahati Express, scheduled for August 15.
Additionally, several trains have been rescheduled. For instance, Train no. 15650 Narangi-Agartala Express will now leave Narangi at 10:30 PM on August 14, while Train no. 15649 Agartala-Narangi Express is set to depart Agartala at 11:30 PM on the same day.
Train no. 15609 Guwahati-Sairang Express will now depart from Guwahati at 11:30 PM on August 14, and Train no. 15610 Sairang-Guwahati Express will leave Sairang at 9:30 PM.
Moreover, Train no. 15611 Rangiya-Silchar Express is scheduled to depart Rangiya at 11:30 PM on August 14, while Train no. 15612 Silchar-Rangiya Express will leave Silchar at 5 AM on August 15.
Train no. 20507 Anand Vihar Terminal-Sairang Express, originally set to start its journey on August 14, has been rescheduled to depart Sairang at 9:10 PM.
In addition, Train no. 20502 Anand Vihar Terminal-Agartala Tejas Express, which began its journey on August 12, will be regulated appropriately along its route, according to NFR.
The NFR has emphasized that these adjustments are precautionary measures aimed at facilitating the ongoing restoration work and ensuring the safety of train operations in the hilly region. Passengers are encouraged to check the updated schedules prior to their travels.
