In a remarkable display of skill, the North Delhi Strikers secured a convincing six-wicket win against the East Delhi Riders during the Delhi Premier League (DPL) 2026 at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Captain Sarthak Ranjan Celebrates First Win

After the match, captain Sarthak Ranjan expressed his joy, stating, "Winning feels fantastic, especially as this marks my first victory in a captaincy role. We faced early setbacks with two wickets down, so our strategy was to form a solid partnership and maintain momentum during the powerplay. Once Yash Bhatia joined me, the game became much easier. We had a strong partnership in our previous match, and today he alleviated a lot of pressure by consistently hitting boundaries. Our focus was on building the innings, knowing that a significant over would eventually come. I didn't anticipate it would be that impactful, but it certainly worked in our favor," as reported in a DPL press release.
