Captain Sarthak Ranjan Celebrates First Win

After the match, captain Sarthak Ranjan expressed his joy, stating, "Winning feels fantastic, especially as this marks my first victory in a captaincy role. We faced early setbacks with two wickets down, so our strategy was to form a solid partnership and maintain momentum during the powerplay. Once Yash Bhatia joined me, the game became much easier. We had a strong partnership in our previous match, and today he alleviated a lot of pressure by consistently hitting boundaries. Our focus was on building the innings, knowing that a significant over would eventually come. I didn't anticipate it would be that impactful, but it certainly worked in our favor," as reported in a DPL press release.

Earlier in the match, the East Delhi Riders managed to score 171 runs for the loss of six wickets in their allotted 20 overs, largely due to an impressive unbeaten 82 runs off 50 balls by Sujal Singh. The left-handed batsman played a crucial role, hitting six fours and four sixes, while wickets fell at the other end.
