Unraveling the Noida Violence

Authorities in Noida have revealed that the recent violence was not a spontaneous outburst but rather a meticulously orchestrated conspiracy involving social media and external influences. The investigation has uncovered connections to accounts operating from Pakistan, the creation of WhatsApp groups via QR codes, and a total of 62 arrests, intensifying the seriousness of the situation.

Was the Violence Pre-Meditated?

During a press conference, the police commissioner stated that the incident was a 'malafide intentionally organized activity,' indicating that the violence was pre-planned rather than a result of spontaneous crowd behavior. Authorities suspect that certain individuals aimed to destabilize industrial areas.

Key Figures in the Investigation

The investigation has identified individuals such as Manisha Chauhan, Rupesh Rai, and Aditya Anand, who are accused of inciting the workers. Rupesh claims to be an auto driver, while Aditya is unemployed. Both have been active in various movements across the country for several years, raising questions about their extensive networks.

How Did the Movement Spread?

The police found that the movement began on March 31 and April 1 in Noida. WhatsApp groups were formed using QR codes on April 9 and 10, effectively mobilizing workers through digital tools to gather large crowds.

From Peaceful Protest to Violence

According to police reports, the labor movement commenced on April 10, with calls for road blockades on April 11. Despite a peaceful agreement on the same day, some individuals incited the crowd with provocative speeches, leading to violence.

What Escalated the Situation on April 13?

On April 13, individuals were incited to gather in front of the Madarson company, with the same instigators involved. The situation deteriorated further as rumors began to circulate amidst attempts to calm the protests.

The Social Media and Pakistan Connection

One of the most alarming aspects of this case is the connection to social media. On April 13, misinformation was spread from two Twitter accounts, which were found to be operated from Pakistan. These accounts had been functioning through VPNs for the past three months, suggesting a deliberate attempt to disrupt the situation using social media.

Police Actions Taken So Far

The Noida police have taken stringent measures, filing FIRs at the Sector-20 police station. A total of 13 cases have been registered, resulting in the arrest of 62 individuals, including nine involved in arson. Many of the arrested were not laborers and included outsiders who participated in the violence.
