Noida International Airport Set to Launch Regular Flights from June 15
Inauguration of Regular Flights
A significant announcement has emerged from Noida, where regular passenger flights are set to commence from Noida International Airport starting June 15. The inaugural flight will connect to Mumbai, the financial hub of the country.
Direct Air Connectivity
This new service will establish direct air connectivity between Noida and Mumbai, providing substantial relief to business and industry professionals. Notably, numerous national and multinational companies operate in Noida and the National Capital Region, maintaining continuous links with Mumbai.
Flight Operations and Booking
IndiGo will be responsible for operating flights on this route, with ticket bookings expected to begin shortly. Additionally, preparations are underway for two more flights to operate on the first day.
Special Flights for Farmers
On June 15, special flights are also planned from Noida Airport to Lucknow and Ayodhya. This initiative will include farmers who provided land for the airport's construction. They will first visit Ayodhya to pay their respects to Lord Ram, followed by a ceremony in Lucknow.
Support from Local Authorities
Reports indicate that this proposal has received positive feedback from Yogi Adityanath, aimed at honoring the contributions of local farmers.
Future Airline Services
Officials have mentioned that besides IndiGo, Akasa Air and Air India Express may soon commence operations from Noida Airport. This will clarify the flight and fare situation for various cities across the country.
Approval for Flight Services
The path for initiating flight services was cleared after the Airport Security Program received approval from the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security on April 28. Following this, airlines have accelerated their preparations.
