Salary Hike Announcement for Workers

In Noida, workers protesting for better salaries and benefits have received encouraging news. A high-powered committee has officially announced an increase in wages, effective from April 1. Unskilled workers will now earn ₹13,690, semi-skilled workers will receive ₹15,059, and skilled workers will be paid ₹16,868. Previously, unskilled laborers in Noida and Ghaziabad earned ₹11,313 per month, which will rise to ₹13,690 starting April 1. Additionally, various municipalities and districts in Uttar Pradesh have also implemented different rates of increase.


Government Denies False Claims

The Yogi government has refuted claims circulating on social media that the minimum wage for workers has been set at ₹20,000 per month. In an official statement, the government clarified that such information is entirely fabricated and misleading. They urged the public to rely solely on official sources for accurate information.


Official Government Orders

According to an official press release, the state government has decided to implement an immediate interim increase in the minimum wage, considering the current economic conditions and the demands of workers. A wage board will be established next month to recommend future minimum wage determinations. Furthermore, the central government is also progressing with the process of establishing a uniform minimum baseline across the country under the new labor codes.
