Former Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar, is set to take his oath as a member of the Rajya Sabha on April 10. Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary confirmed that Kumar's oath-taking ceremony will occur prior to the swearing-in of other newly elected MPs from the state. Chaudhary emphasized that this is a crucial first step ahead of the new government's establishment.


Swearing-in of Newly Elected Rajya Sabha MPs

The newly elected Rajya Sabha members from Bihar, including BJP National President Nitin Nawin and Nivesh Kumar, will take their oaths during a special parliamentary session on April 16. Alongside BJP leaders, RLJP chief Upendra Kushwaha will also be sworn in on the same day. All ceremonies are scheduled to take place in the Rajya Sabha chamber.

The agenda will focus on inviting names for the new Chief Minister from the state core committee, striving for consensus, and deciding on the next steps following Nitish Kumar's resignation from the Chief Minister position.
