Nitish Kumar Launches 'Samriddhi Yatra' in Bihar to Boost Economic Development

Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has launched the 'Samriddhi Yatra' from Betia, marking a significant step towards enhancing the state's economic landscape. This initiative follows the recent electoral success of the Janata Dal (United)-led coalition. Kumar's journey aims to strengthen administrative efforts and support local entrepreneurs through various government schemes. During the launch, he inspected industrial developments in Kumarbagh, emphasizing the importance of creating a favorable environment for business growth. The Chief Minister's engagement with beneficiaries of government programs highlights the positive impact of his initiatives on local communities. This journey is expected to foster social and economic development in the region.
 

Chief Minister Initiates Statewide Journey

Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar kicked off the 'Samriddhi Yatra' from Betia in West Champaran on Friday. This marks his 17th statewide journey and the 15th since he took office as Chief Minister. Despite the biting cold, Kumar launched the journey, signaling a renewed commitment to strengthen administrative efforts following the impressive victory of the Janata Dal (United)-led coalition in the recent Bihar Assembly elections, which includes the Bharatiya Janata Party and smaller allied parties.


Inspection of Industrial Developments

During his inspection, officials informed the Chief Minister that new initiatives would commence soon. Following this, he reviewed the Special Economic Zone in Kumarbagh and observed various industrial units under construction. Kumar unveiled the plaque for the Primary Processing Center in Kumarbagh and laid the foundation stone for a working women's hostel located there. He also examined products from entrepreneurs who have started businesses under the Chief Minister's Entrepreneur Scheme, inspecting stalls featuring food products, garments, fly ash bricks, and luxury bathing items.


Support for Local Entrepreneurs

The Chief Minister gathered information about the products being manufactured at various industrial units in Kumarbagh. Praising the quality of the products, he noted that the industrial units are well-established and that everyone is performing admirably. He expressed a desire for all to progress and expand their businesses, assuring them of the government's support. Kumar emphasized that the state government is implementing various incentive schemes for entrepreneurs and investors to create a favorable industrial environment and facilitate better industry establishment. The establishment of diverse industrial units in Kumarbagh is generating employment opportunities for local youth, significantly contributing to the region's social and economic development. Kumarbagh is evolving into a robust industrial hub.


Engagement with Beneficiaries

The Chief Minister also inspected various stalls set up by Livelihood Promotion Groups and interacted with beneficiaries of government schemes. The Livelihood Promotion Group members expressed their gratitude, stating that his initiatives have improved their lives and helped their families progress. The inspection was attended by Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary, Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha, Water Resources and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Vijay Kumar Chaudhary, MP Dr. Sanjay Kumar Jaiswal, MP Sunil Kumar, MLA Samriddh Verma, and other public representatives.
