Reactions to Nitish Kumar's Nomination

Bihar's minister, Leshi Singh, highlighted the emotional reactions of party workers following Nitish Kumar's nomination for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections. She noted that Kumar has led the state for over 20 years, which has made party members uneasy about his decision. Singh remarked to reporters that Nitish Kumar has accomplished significant work in Bihar, establishing good governance, upholding the rule of law, and promoting women's empowerment, making it natural for party workers to feel uncomfortable with his choice.

Additionally, Singh mentioned that a meeting would take place at 5 PM to discuss any decisions made. Earlier, JDU MLA Binay Kumar Chaudhary expressed disappointment regarding Nitish Kumar's decision to contest the Rajya Sabha elections, stating that party leaders are saddened by this turn of events. Chaudhary conveyed to the media that they are upset and that he cannot comment further on the decision. These reactions emerged following a significant political event in Bihar, where Nitish Kumar filed his nomination for the Rajya Sabha in the presence of Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
