Investigation Launched Following Discovery of Explosive Material

A team from the National Investigation Agency (NIA) is heading to a location on the outskirts of Bengaluru, where a suspicious package containing two sticks of gelatin was discovered. This site is along the route that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's convoy was scheduled to take on Sunday. The NIA will collaborate with local police in the investigation.

According to local authorities, the package was found approximately one kilometer away from the NICE Road junction in Thathaguni, Kaggilipura, about an hour and a half before the Prime Minister's visit.

During a search operation in the area, a police officer involved in anti-sabotage efforts discovered the package near a wall, roughly 25 feet from the road. Upon receiving the alert, a team that had cordoned off the area arrived and retrieved the two sticks of gelatin. The area was secured immediately. No suspects have been arrested yet, but an investigation is underway, and special teams have been formed to track down potential suspects.
