NIA Files Chargesheet in Baisaran Meadows Terror Attack Case
NIA's Investigation Reveals Shocking Details
The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has submitted its chargesheet regarding the severe terrorist attack that occurred last year in the renowned Baisaran Meadows of Pahalgam. This document unveils startling revelations about the cross-border terrorist network, new methods of arms supply, and significant lapses in intelligence within the security framework.
Drones: A New Method for Arms Supply
According to the NIA's findings, handlers operating from across the border are now utilizing modern technologies instead of relying solely on traditional infiltration routes along the Line of Control (LoC). The investigation has uncovered that unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) have been employed to drop weapons, ammunition, and cash deep within Indian territory. These drones successfully reached remote forests in Baramulla district of North Kashmir without being detected by radar or security measures. The chargesheet indicates that a significant drop occurred in early 2024 in the wilds of Gogal Dara, Baramulla, which included 20 pistols, ₹1.5 million in cash, and triangular grenades.
