The Bride's Bold Move

In the Kahnuwan police station area, a married woman, along with accomplices, executed a brazen theft in broad daylight, absconding with 12 tolas of gold, ₹5.35 lakh in cash, and essential documents. The victim, Gagan Sharma, shared that he married Deepti nine months ago and runs a private institute in Gurudaspur to support his family. He stated that there had been no disputes with Deepti since their marriage. Gagan revealed that this was Deepti's second marriage; she divorced her first husband in 2014, receiving ₹17 lakh as a settlement. He accused her family of being complicit in the incident, expressing his despair by stating, 'If I do not receive justice, I will take my own life, and Deepti will be responsible.' Gagan also mentioned that neighbors had seen two unknown individuals leaving the house with Deepti.

The Theft's Execution

Deepti orchestrated the entire theft with her accomplices. The incident occurred on a Monday afternoon when only her sister-in-law and brother-in-law were present at home. They managed to steal 12 tolas of gold and ₹5.35 lakh in cash, along with other valuable household items and important documents.

Funds for Property Registration

Gagan informed the police that approximately ₹5 lakh was stolen by his wife. This money was intended for the registration of a plot, a detail known only to Deepti and him. He expressed that Deepti had previously engaged in similar troubling behavior, which had caused him distress. Despite his love for her, he had overlooked her past actions, but this latest betrayal left him in shock.
