New School Building Unveiled in Chamba by Himachal Pradesh Education Minister

Himachal Pradesh's Education Minister, Rohit Thakur, inaugurated a new school building at PM Shri Government Senior Secondary Girls School in Chamba, highlighting the crucial role of teachers in educational reforms. The minister's visit included interactions with students and teachers, where he praised the improvements in government school enrollment and announced rewards for cultural performances. The event was attended by various dignitaries, showcasing the commitment to enhancing education in the region.

Today, the Education Minister of Himachal Pradesh, Rohit Thakur, officially opened a newly constructed school building at the PM Shri Government Senior Secondary Girls School, Chamba, which was built at a cost of ₹44 lakh.


During his visit, the minister evaluated the various facilities available for students and engaged with teachers, students, and local community members. He highlighted that the effectiveness of departmental policies relies heavily on the proactive involvement of teachers, whose commitment is crucial for the successful execution of programs like Rajiv Gandhi Day Boarding Schools, CBSE affiliation for government schools, Atal Adarsh Schools, PM Shri, and CM Shri schemes.

After the inauguration, Rohit Thakur proceeded to visit the Government Senior Secondary School, Karyan, where he provided essential directives to departmental officials.


MLA Neeraj Nayyar welcomed the minister and expressed appreciation to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for his focus on the comprehensive development of the Chamba constituency. He emphasized ongoing projects aimed at enhancing the quality of education in the area.


The event was attended by notable figures including former minister Asha Kumari, former MLA Tilak Raj Sharma, local dignitaries, Deputy Commissioner Mukesh Repaswal, Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar, SDM Priyanshu Khati, Deputy Director of School Education Vikas Mahajan, along with teachers, students, parents, and community members.
