New Road Project Enhances Connectivity for Noida and Greater Noida

A transformative road project is set to enhance connectivity for Noida and Greater Noida by linking them directly to the Ganga Expressway. This initiative includes the construction of a 15-kilometer road and an elevated route for heavy vehicles, aimed at reducing traffic congestion and improving access to the Noida International Airport. With the project integrated into the Greater Noida Master Plan 2041, officials anticipate significant benefits for commuters, businesses, and the logistics sector, making it a pivotal development for the region's economic growth.

Significant Development for Noida and Greater Noida

Residents of Noida and Greater Noida are set to benefit from a major development initiative aimed at improving connectivity. A new road, approximately 15 kilometers long, will be constructed to link these cities directly to the Ganga Expressway, extending from the Hapur Bypass. This project is not just about road construction; it is expected to transform the entire region's development landscape. Officials believe that this decision will significantly ease and expedite travel within Noida, Greater Noida, and surrounding areas. The plan includes a 105-meter wide road that will connect to the Ganga Expressway, facilitating direct access from the Hapur Bypass.

According to officials, once this project is completed, residents will be able to reach the Ganga Expressway in just 30 to 45 minutes. This change will be particularly beneficial for daily commuters, traders, and industries, as it will save time and reduce traffic congestion. Additionally, a significant step has been taken with the construction of a six-lane elevated road parallel to the Dedicated Freight Corridor, which will serve as a multi-modal logistics hub. This elevated road will provide a separate route for heavy vehicles and freight transport, thereby alleviating traffic jams within the city and strengthening the logistics sector.

Easier Access to Noida International Airport

The new road and elevated road will also simplify access to the Noida International Airport in Jewar. This development is a major advantage for businesses and industries, allowing them to transport goods quickly to the air corridor terminal, thus boosting trade and exports. The entire project is set to be integrated into the Greater Noida Master Plan 2041. The board has approved this plan based on a proposal from Ravi Kumar NG, CEO of the Greater Noida Authority, indicating that the development of this road and connectivity will be prioritized in the coming years.

Future Connectivity Enhancements

Officials have indicated that this road will eventually connect to National Highway NH 91 and the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. This will position Noida and Greater Noida as part of a larger transport network, enhancing connectivity between Delhi NCR and western Uttar Pradesh.

Traffic Management Solutions with IIT Support

To address traffic congestion, the authority has decided to seek assistance from IIT. New traffic management plans will be developed for areas like Pari Chowk, Knowledge Park, and the Expert and P3 roundabouts. This initiative is expected to significantly reduce traffic issues in key areas of the city. The project is anticipated to benefit not only the general public but also industries and investments, leading to lower logistics costs and increased investment opportunities. This is why the plan is considered a game changer for the region's economic development.
