New Link Road Planned to Connect Greater Noida with Noida International Airport
Construction of a New Link Road
The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) along with the Greater Noida Authority is set to develop a 3-kilometer link road that will connect Greater Noida to the upcoming Noida International Airport. A report from a local media outlet indicates that the feasibility of this project is currently under assessment.
This new road will link the 130-meter-wide city main road to the 120-meter-wide Yamuna City Road, facilitating easier access for commuters traveling from Greater Noida West and Ghaziabad to the airport. The corridor aims to enhance the accessibility of the approximately 30-kilometer route that stretches from Char Murti Chowk to Sirsa village.
The process of land acquisition, which had previously faced delays, is anticipated to recommence shortly. Additionally, plans include constructing an underpass beneath the Eastern Peripheral Expressway near Sirsa village.
Officials have recently conducted site inspections to evaluate the unfinished segments and strategize future actions. The detailed project report (DPR) is expected to be finalized within the next two months, with discussions on project costs and financial arrangements to take place among relevant authorities and stakeholders.
This link road is expected to boost regional development by connecting residential areas such as Sigma III, IV, Omicron 1A, and industrial zones like Ecotech XI.
