New Leadership Elected for Federation of Indian Granite and Stone Industry

The Federation of Indian Granite and Stone Industry (FIGSI) has elected a new executive committee for the term 2026-2028 during its recent assembly in Jaipur. Ishwinder Singh returns as president, with Manoj Kumar Singh as general secretary. The committee aims to enhance innovation, skill development, and explore new markets, reinforcing India's position in the global natural stone supply chain. With over 1,300 members, FIGSI continues to be a pivotal organization in the industry, promising renewed energy and direction for future growth.
 

New Executive Committee Formed in Jaipur

Jaipur. The Federation of Indian Granite and Stone Industry (FIGSI) held its general assembly on Wednesday at a prominent hotel in Jaipur. During this meeting, a new executive committee was established for the term 2026-2028, with Ishwinder Singh re-elected as president. Manoj Kumar Singh was appointed as the general secretary, while Pramod Bhandari took on the role of treasurer.


The new executive committee includes vice presidents Arun Malhotra, Guru Shastrimath, Sundar Somani, Kalit Bhandari, Dr. Harpal Singh Yadav, and S. Shankaranarayanan. Rakesh Rathi has been named as the assistant treasurer. The positions of assistant secretaries have been assigned to Mrs. Ajita Joy, Kailash Singh Meratiya, Manish Poddar, Jockey Chakkivala, Yusuf Kamal Khan, Naresh Kumar Bansal, Deepak V. Patel, and Devendra Kumar Soni.


In his address, newly elected president Ishwinder Singh expressed gratitude to all members and emphasized that the new team will focus on innovation, skill development, strengthening the organization, and exploring new markets. He reiterated FIGSI's commitment to making India a global leader in the supply of natural stones such as granite, marble, and sandstone. General Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh also reaffirmed the commitment to elevate the industry to new heights with the support of all members.


The assembly was attended by hundreds of FIGSI members who warmly welcomed and congratulated the newly elected officials. Established in 1983, FIGSI has been instrumental in the development of the natural stone industry and is the leading organization in India's granite and stone sector, boasting over 1,300 members nationwide. The organization has consistently provided a global platform for the industry through international exhibitions like STONA.


The formation of the new committee is expected to bring renewed energy and direction to the industry, particularly in enhancing exports, technological advancements, and addressing policy issues.
