New Interact Club Established at Takshashila International School to Foster Youth Leadership
Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Launches Interact Club

The Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Mandi has officially launched an Interact Club at Takshashila International School, Mandi, aimed at cultivating leadership skills, social responsibility, and a commitment to service among students. A total of 77 students have been welcomed as members of this newly established club.
During the inauguration ceremony, the club's executive committee was elected unanimously. Hazel Sachdeva was appointed as president, with Manraj Singh serving as vice-president, Sneha as secretary, and Sumit Thakur as treasurer. Board members include Devarsh Sharma, Gopika, Arnav Shukla, Prakul Vaidya, and Shivansh Agnihotri, while Nishant Sharma has been designated as the faculty adviser.
In his address, Akhilesh Bharti, the president-elect of Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Mandi, emphasized the significance of Interact Clubs on a global scale. He noted that these clubs are among Rotary International’s most effective youth initiatives, functioning in numerous schools worldwide. Through community service, environmental projects, and leadership activities, Interact Clubs empower students to evolve into responsible global citizens.
Former club president Anupama Singh remarked that the Interact Club offers students a valuable platform to build confidence, teamwork, and ethical values from an early age. She highlighted the essential role such clubs play in developing socially conscious and proactive individuals.
Hazel Sachdeva, the newly elected president of the Interact Club, expressed her gratitude to the school administration, Rotary members, and her peers for the trust placed in her. She committed to ensuring that the club would engage actively in social service, environmental conservation, and student-led initiatives.
Secretary Sneha mentioned that the Interact Club would prioritize discipline, teamwork, and impactful activities that positively influence society and aid in the development of student leaders.
Vice-president Manraj Singh connected the values of the Interact Club with the teachings of Guru Nanak Dev and Guru Tegh Bahadur, stressing that service, sacrifice, and humanity are the cornerstones of a compassionate society.
President Hemlata of Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi praised the establishment of the Interact Club, stating that such initiatives empower students to become thoughtful leaders and responsible citizens for the future.
In her closing remarks, faculty member Shailja Kashyap welcomed the Rotary members and commended their efforts in creating the Interact Club, noting that it would provide students with invaluable exposure to leadership and community service.
Also present at the event were Rotary Club Chhoti Kashi Interact Secretary Renu Gulati, along with Anuradha Sood and Suman Sharma.
