New Community Library Opens in Tundi, Himachal Pradesh to Support Students

Chamba: The Speaker of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly, Kuldeep Singh Pathania, has officially opened a community library in the Tundi gram panchayat, enhancing the educational resources available in the Bhattiyat region of Chamba district.
During his speech, Pathania emphasized that this library would greatly assist young individuals preparing for competitive exams. He highlighted the importance of creating a supportive and disciplined study atmosphere to help students achieve their academic aspirations.
Approximately Rs 10 lakh has been invested to furnish the library with essential resources, including books, furniture, Wi-Fi, computer systems, CCTV cameras, and facilities for both hot and cold drinking water, all tailored to meet student needs.
Pathania noted that the initiative aims to enhance study facilities for the youth, with plans to establish community libraries in various locations throughout the Bhattiyat area. He mentioned that similar libraries are already operational in Manhuta, Avanh, Hobar, Siyunta, and Kakira gram panchayats.
On this occasion, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Paras Agrawal, representing the sub-divisional administration, along with panchayat pradhan Pawan Kumar and up-pradhan Subhash Chandra, honored the Speaker with a traditional shawl and cap.
Attendees included State Forest Corporation Board Director Chela Krishan Chand, former Block Congress Committee president Vijay Kanwar, Chuwari Nagar panchayat vice-president Surender Chadak, Tehsildar Surender Kumar, and officials from various departments.
