New Bus Services Launched in Rajasthan to Enhance Public Transport

Jaipur. On Sunday, Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma flagged off 144 new buses from the Heerapura bus terminal on Ajmer Road in Jaipur after a ceremonial puja. He interacted with bus drivers and took group photos. In a conversation with the media, the Chief Minister stated that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine government is rapidly working in every sector related to public welfare, fulfilling all commitments and promises.


The Chief Minister emphasized the ongoing expansion of public transport services in the state to ensure safe, accessible, and convenient travel for the public. He noted that the government's priority is to provide transport facilities to every corner of the state. The launch of these 144 new buses will significantly enhance travel options for millions of passengers.


He further mentioned that due to effective management and transparent practices, Rajasthan Roadways has transitioned from losses to profitability. The government has established financial discipline, ensuring timely salaries for roadways employees.


New Blue Line Express buses equipped with modern amenities


The new Blue Line Express buses from Rajasthan State Transport Corporation Limited are outfitted with advanced technology, safety standards, and modern passenger amenities. For passenger safety, the buses are equipped with CCTV cameras, location tracking systems, panic buttons, announcement systems, emergency alert systems, and reverse sensors. Additionally, five new buses allocated to the Vaishali Nagar depot are fitted with LED TVs for broadcasting essential and emergency information, entertainment for passengers, and to enhance the corporation's non-operational revenue. In future phases, other depots will also have LED installations in their buses. The buses feature LED destination boards at the front and rear, and each seat is equipped with mobile charging facilities.


Adherence to road safety rules is everyone's responsibility


The Chief Minister also distributed helmets to women road safety ambassadors, promoting awareness about road safety. He urged residents to follow traffic rules and wear helmets while riding two-wheelers. He emphasized that safe travel is the responsibility of every citizen and that public participation is crucial in reducing road accidents.
