Israeli Prime Minister's Bold Statements

On Thursday, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israeli military operations have resulted in the deaths of prominent Iranian nuclear scientists. He criticized Iran's new Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Mojtaba Khamenei, labeling him a "puppet of the Revolutionary Guards" who is unable to make public appearances. During a press conference, Netanyahu reached out to the Iranian populace, suggesting that a "new path of freedom" is on the horizon, asserting Israel's support for them. He claimed that the collaborative efforts of the US and Israel against Iran are progressing better than anticipated, emphasizing Israel's strength and stating that Khamenei has "no life insurance" either.

When asked about potential targets, including Khamenei and Hezbollah leader Naem Qassem, Netanyahu remarked, "I wouldn't take out a life insurance policy on any of the leaders of the terror organizations." He referenced the death of Khamenei's father, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, who was killed in US-Israel operations on February 28.

Regarding the goal of overthrowing the Iranian regime, Netanyahu stated that the US and Israel are working to create favorable conditions for the Iranian people to dismantle the oppressive regime. He declared, "We are delivering significant blows to the Revolutionary Guards and the Basij, both in urban areas and at checkpoints – and our operations continue." He encouraged the Iranian people, saying, "The moment for a new path of freedom is approaching. We stand with you, we are assisting you. Ultimately, it is in your hands!"

The joint military campaign by the US and Israel has now reached its 13th day, with Tehran reporting that nearly 10,000 civilian locations have been targeted and over 1,300 civilians have lost their lives since the conflict began. In his first public statement, Mojtaba Khamenei warned the United States that Iran would seek retribution for the deaths of its martyrs, threatening to attack American bases in the Middle East unless they are closed. He also stated that the Strait of Hormuz should remain closed to exert pressure on the US.

Israel initiated its operation, named "Roaring Lion," on February 28, with the US joining in and dubbing it "Epic Fury." The stated objectives include thwarting Iran's nuclear aspirations, dismantling its missile capabilities, and delivering a severe blow to its regional allies.
