The NECO Master Blaster Women's team concluded their journey in the Vidarbha Women's Premier League 2026 with a strong performance, finishing as runners-up. Despite the loss in the final, the team's resilience and growth throughout the season were commendable. The NECO Master Blaster Women's team concluded their inspiring run in the Vidarbha Women's Premier League (VWPL) 2026 with a commendable performance in the final held at VCA Jamtha Ground on Sunday. Despite not winning the championship, the team showcased significant improvement and resilience throughout the tournament.


Following a challenging season last year, the NECO Master Blaster Women made a strong comeback in 2026, demonstrating consistency and a fighting spirit that propelled them to the finals. Their runner-up position is a testament to their growth and sets a solid groundwork for future achievements, including potential international opportunities.


VWPL Final: An Exciting Encounter

In the championship match, NECO Master Blaster Women scored 140 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Shraddha Nabira was the standout performer, scoring an impressive 66 runs off 48 balls, including eight fours and two sixes. Nupur Kohale supported her with a quick 21 runs from 14 balls, while Nihari Kawale added 16 runs.


In response, India Warriors Women chased down the target of 141 runs, led by Ayushi Thakre's composed innings of 65 runs off 50 balls. Wicketkeeper-batter Latika Inamdar contributed significantly with 42 runs off 31 balls, helping India Warriors secure a four-wicket victory by reaching 142 runs for 6 wickets in just 19.4 overs.
