New Delhi, Aug 4: The 'Mangal Milan' meeting of the NDA Parliamentary Party is currently taking place at the Parliament Library Building (PLB). This gathering aims to formulate the ruling coalition's strategy for the final ten days of the Monsoon Session.

Members of the ruling NDA have gathered at the G.M.C. Balayogi Auditorium for this important meeting. Notably, the Nationalist Citizens Party of India (NCPI) MPs, who previously aligned with the Trinamool Congress, are participating for the second time.

Key figures in attendance include Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Nabin, Union Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju, Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal, Union Minister of State Jitendra Singh, and External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar, among other NDA MPs.

This meeting is significant as the Monsoon Session of Parliament approaches its conclusion, with the NDA-led government preparing to present several pending Bills for discussion and approval, despite anticipated disruptions from the Opposition on various contentious matters.

Throughout the Monsoon Session, there have been numerous protests and interruptions, with Opposition parties voicing concerns over issues such as examination paper leaks, police actions against demonstrators during the Jantar Mantar protest, and the Ram Mandir donation theft case.

As both the government and the Opposition are expected to maintain their firm stances, the third week of the session is likely to see heightened political exchanges alongside efforts to advance the government's legislative agenda.

The 'Mangal Milan' meeting serves as a rebranded weekly strategy session for the NDA parliamentary party, aimed at fostering constructive discussions and ensuring alignment within the alliance.

In addition to managing daily parliamentary activities and building cross-party consensus, the 'Mangal Milan' meeting also enhances coordination among NDA constituents.

This meeting encourages NDA MPs to engage in debates and facilitates the distribution of speaking opportunities among key allies, including the Shiv Sena, LJP, TDP, JD(U), and other regional parties.

The previous 'Mangal Milan' held on July 28 marked the first appearance of NCPI MPs Kakoli Ghosh, Shatabdi Roy, and Saayoni Ghosh, who transitioned from the Trinamool Congress, alongside other NDA members.

Many NCPI MPs attending the NDA Parliamentary Party's 'Mangal Milan' for the first time expressed their appreciation for the "organized system" of the ruling coalition.
